How to make this dish:
1 bag of black eye peas ( soak overnight) drain the Soak again, then rinse ( this let the gas out of the beans so you don't have it) LOL.
Place beans in enough water to cover them by 1/4th in a pot.
Season with below to taste:
Parsley, ginger,. turmeric, sea salt, black pepper, 1/2 or whole red onions. 1 celery stalk chopped \diced.
Cook as directed on the box or bag. I place about 1 1/2 cups of the already cooked blackeye peas.
Boiled 1 raw crab then remove the meat and place in the peas.
**Cook peas, seasons and celery until complete then add cooked quinoa and crab meat simmer until blended.**
Hot Water CornBread:
1 1/2 cup of Yellow or White Cornmeal
1 1/2 tbsp of olive oil
pinch of salt.
1/4 and a dab of hot water ( gradually add water and stir until the cornmeal has absorbed the water with just a little liquid remains visible. ( perfect)
Skillet hot with 1/4 inch of cooking oil then spoon in cornmeal batter to make patties of the desired size. Once crisped and golden brown on one side then flip.
